10 Years, 110,000 sqm: CaptainRC at the World Drone Congress

From May 21 to 23, Shenzhen hosted the 10th World Drone Congress and International Low-Altitude Economy Expo – and CaptainRC was there.

The numbers from this milestone event:

  • 1,220 companies from 17 countries and regions

  • 110,000 sqm of exhibition space, 9 halls

  • Over 10,000 drones on display

  • More than 200,000 professional visitors

As the Congress chairman noted, China is now the world's largest drone manufacturing base, with 31 provinces incorporating low-altitude economy into their 15th Five-Year Plans.

CaptainRC at the Show

This was our first time exhibiting at the World Drone Congress – and the response exceeded our expectations.

What We Showcased:

  • Complete FPV systems – flight controllers, ESCs, motors, and FPV goggles

  • EDF jet lineup – high-performance ducted fan aircraft for RC enthusiasts

  • Radio systems – reliable transmitters and receivers for every skill level

Visitor Highlights:

  • Dozens of pilots stopped by to test our F722 flight controllers and share their build experiences

  • International buyers from Europe and Southeast Asia expressed strong interest in our EDF jet series

  • Professional racers tested our high-performance motors and gave real-time feedback

What Else Happened at the Congress

eVTOL Takes Center Stage

Several electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft made their public debut. The EF1200, the world's first full-ducted ton-class eVTOL, can carry 4 passengers with a 1,200kg max takeoff weight and requires only 30 sqm to land – like parking a car.

The First Usage-Based Drone Insurance

Ping An Insurance and China Reinsurance jointly launched "Smart Fly Protect" – the industry's first low-altitude insurance product with dynamic pricing based on user behavior. Fly safer, pay less.

From "Validation" to "Harvest"

One industry leader put it best: "We have moved from the validation phase into the harvest phase." FPV technology is no longer experimental – it's a mature, growing industry.

What This Means for You

1. CaptainRC Is Growing With the Industry

Our first World Drone Congress was a success. We met pilots, talked to buyers, and learned what the community wants next. Expect more products, better support, and continued innovation.

2. FPV Is No Longer Niche

1,220 companies. 200,000 visitors. Worldwide attention. The sport has grown up – and we're proud to be part of it.

3. Global Interest in EDF and FPV Is Rising

The international buyers who visited our booth confirmed what we already knew: demand for high-quality EDF jets and FPV components is strong worldwide.

What's Next for CaptainRC

We're back from Shenzhen, unpacking what we learned, and planning for the next show.

  • New products in development – based on direct feedback from pilots at the Congress

  • Improved documentation – we heard you on the need for better build guides

  • More events – we'll be at more expos in 2026 and 2027

Thank You

To everyone who visited our booth at Hall 9 – thank you. To those who couldn't make it – we'll see you at the next one.

The FPV community is growing. And CaptainRC is growing with it.
